To celebrate the upcoming release of The Big Book of Self-Promotion

I thought it might be fun to show the covers that never made it to the printer.

The challenge was to create one image that communicated the book’s overall concept. (The book features 384 pages of self-promotional pieces, mainly created by design firms to promote themselves.)

All covers were designed by my friends at Anderson Design Group in Nashville, TN.

Below are some cover designs that, for whatever reason, didn’t make the final cut.

Call me crazy, but there will always be a soft spot in my heart for that peacock.

My book, ‘The Mandolin Case’ is due out in 2010. I’d love any comments as to book cover design ideas. See today’s post 12 7 09.
